Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is a pervasive issue that affects individuals across all communities in Zimbabwe, with particularly devastating impacts on marginalized groups. The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Zimbabwe recognizes the urgent need to address this critical challenge, especially in the context of rising rates of violence against women and vulnerable populations, including individuals with disabilities.
This campaign aims to raise awareness about GBV, educate communities about its forms and consequences, and empower individuals to take action against violence in all its forms. Through a series of workshops, community dialogues, and creative expression initiatives, we will engage young leaders, community members, and stakeholders to foster a culture of respect, support, and solidarity.
By harnessing the energy and creativity of our youth, this campaign seeks to challenge harmful norms, promote gender equality, and create safe spaces for dialogue and healing. Together, we can build a future where everyone, regardless of their gender or ability, can live free from violence and discrimination.
Join us in this vital movement to end GBV and empower our communities to stand together against violence, advocating for a safer, more equitable Zimbabwe for all.
